A little bit about me

Born in 1955 I found art to be the one subject I excelled in during my school years and once my daughters became less dependent, I took the opportunity to take advantage of The University of Hertforshire Access scheme in Art and Design. There followed two happy years, immersed in and surrounded by art and like minded people.

I was able to dabble in ceramics, fine art, graphic design, photography and textiles, bliss, however, I decided fine art was the one for me and went on to achieve the access certificate in fine art. Later I found Life Drawing classes helpful and achieved a City and Guilds Certificate. I also, from time to time, attend creative art courses at The University of Hertfordshire and have studied photography and photo shop.

I first started to sell my work when I had a painting framed at a commercial framers and it was spotted by a local gallery owner, since then, I have sold many works and had several commissions, plus, a commission for a cover of a book.

I am now lucky enough to have a studio in Hertfordshire, where my works can be viewed by appointment.
I also travel to Cornwall on a regular basis which never fails to provide inspiration.
I paint for pleasure, for the art and for being able to help support my charities.
