About My Art

I am an impulsive and adventurous person and I think my art reflects it. I rarely plan in advance what piece of art I am going to work on next morning. I usually work on several canvases at once and chose them depending on my mood. My special area of interest is the still life. I love searching for the inner connections between the subjects on my little stage. The balance is often hard to find, extremely illusive and it’s a mini triumph when I feel that I managed to capture it.
I also enjoy painting landscapes because I live in the very picturesque area of Richmond-upon-Thames. I am often tempted by the local views.
Portraits are also a joy and a challenge.
I am in awe of the Nature, I think that no human can be a greater artist. I see my mission as an artist in humbly observing the beauty of the natural world and uncovering it with as much skill as I am capable of. This beauty can be hidden in the most mundane things and some people might not be aware of it. I hope that seen through my eyes it can become a bit more apparent.
