There is some incredible mystery for me in people faces, each of the faces is a mysterious space. I use different media for portraits, but mainly it is oil which has a light from inside that is very similar to humans' skin and charcoal, which I love for its softness and flexibility.

I can say that painting is the main passion of my life and I am so happy that I've got the opportunity to do what I love most in my life. I am happy with my paintings and I would love to share with everyone my passion and my admiration of the world around that I transfer into my paintings.
In my painting on silk I am inspired by vibrant colours and shapes of plants and flowers, which traditionally associate with symbol of paradise. I am sure we are living in paradise, if we have such a beauty around us and I would like to expect my works as a remanding of that.
My paintings on silk are very spontaneous, the technique of painting on silk is a very special one and when I am painting on silk I never know what will the final outcome looks like, the works can never be repeated, each of my paintings on silk is a unique piece of original work and even if I work with numerous commissioned paintings, they never look the same.

I love flowers since I have seen them the first time in my life when I was 4 years old little girl.
Until that time I was living in the Far North of Russia and have never seen any flowers, trees or grass before. There were only endless white fields of the polar snow around me.
When I was 4 years old, I have moved with my Mum to the one of the most beautiful parts of Russia that was Ural' s Mountain area.
I remember very clearly the morning, when I have seen the first flowers in my life. Being a little child, after watching only white-snow space everywhere in my life before, I could not imagine how colourful the world around can be.
I was almost shocked by the colours of flowers and its beauty. I still keep this amazing feeling of admiration of the nature deep inside. I remember the fear of that little girl that all this discovered beauty might has been disappeared from my life suddenly, and tomorrow I could watch the only white colour of the snow instead of the flowers once again. I felt at that moment the strongest desire to save the beauty of the world in my life forever.
I believe at that moment the Artist inside me was born.
I am still trying to save this fragile beauty of the world in my paintings and I hope to do it for longer.

There are images made with pastels, charcoal and some other media, which I explore quite often in my work.
But still my favorite media for drawings is charcoal. I love this media for its softness and flexible moving. Charcoal and pastels drives me to create something absolutely free and quickly.
