Carole King
Artist's Biography

I am a professional artist living and working in West Wales: my work includes painting, printmaking and installation pieces using ultraviolet light.
I initially trained as a teacher, followed by an OU degree and recently a Fine Art degree at Surrey Institute of Art and Design.
I established an art studio and workshop complex in Chertsey, Surrey which now provides exhibition space, workshops and studios for members.
Recently I co-ordinated our local Cardigan Open Studios art trail here in Wales.
I often run printmaking workshops using a portable etching press, both in my studio and for local art groups and am an active member of the Aberystwyth Printmakers group.
In 2006 I co-curated a drawing show 'Lines and Strata' at Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan, which is shortly to be repeated as a touring show
I have shown my work widely in England and Wales including Henley Arts and Music Festival, Hall Place in Kent, "Flora and Fauna" at Harlow Carr nr Harrogate, and in "Art in the Garden" at Hilliers gardens in Hampshire.
My work is held in private collections through out the world.
