What do you keep by your bedside?
A book? A picture of loved ones? Teeth in a glass?
For me, my bedside table is dominated by a sketch pad and pencils. It has to be like this because just as I am dropping off to sleep, my inspiration arrives like an exploding firework - a flash of a scene that will disappear forever unless I stay awake and sketch it instantly.

I'm a self taught professional artist living in South Lancashire with my wife, two young daughters and fresh out of the oven - baby Oscar.

I have painted professionally for thirteen years now and feel very lucky and privileged to indulge in my favourite recreational activity for a living.

Painting in acrylic on boxed canvas, my quirky contemporary landscapes have often featured all manner of wild animals, birds and cattle. All of my boxed canvases have the image continuing around the sides, a process that can often add an extra day's work to the painting, but an added extra that I feel brings the work to life.

A range of original paintings and limited edition prints are available from selected galleries across the U.K., U.S.A, Europe and Asia. I also post my paintings around the world - please enquire about delivery if you live abroad.
