About Duck L'orange
Another title with a reference to a duck dish (sorry animal lovers). I love painting with this palette which is based on those rich oranges that occur in certain hazy summer sunsets. There's something comical about ducks running and I couldn't resist adding a glint of sunlight on the nearest duck's bill which you can just about make out on this image. At four foot square this painting was painted to liven up a dull room! The duck in the lead is definitely taking inspiration from the Road Runner...!
