Elise Ferguson
Artist's Biography

I was born in 1966 and educated in central Scotland. Although I studied art to Higher level at school, a maths degree followed by a career in Finance took me to London for 16 years. In 2004 I moved with my family and three young children to Dunblane and soon after resumed my work as an artist.
My paintings are vivid representations of the countryside, celebrating blue skies, bright seas and colourful flowers. I take advantage of my central location to travel to the western isles, Fife and north of Scotland to seek out inspiration for new paintings. Many of my landscapes and seascapes are of well known Scottish scenes, often favourite places for family holidays and weekends. However I occasionally manage to get further afield and you will also find scenes of around England, in particular East Sussex and Brighton.
As well as marketing my work on the internet, I show regularly at Art at the Airport, Edinburgh and also have a collection of originals for sale at Adorn, Auchterarder.
