A little bit about me

I was born in Manchester and have lived there all my life. After leaving full time education I started working as a dark room technician for an advertising/photographic studio. My job involved producing positional prints for artwork and black and white photographs to be used in brochures etc.

I was given the opportunity to train to become a graphic artist, which involved producing artwork for print and slides for audio visual purposes. This was before computers became the norm and it would be more likely that you would see scalpels, spray mount and rapidograph pens. Although I did work on computers for a short while before leaving to raise my children. I also trained to use a typsetter to produce type which could be used in artwork.

Having more opportunity to paint while being at home, I began to produce watercolours that would be exhibited through a local gallery. I now paint in oil and exhibit my work through various galleries and open exhibitions. My work has been exhibited at:-
Sale Waterside Gallery in Sale Manchester
Raw Sienna in Knutsford
Gallery 22 in Hale Manchester
Harrison Lord Gallery Yorkshire
Stockport Art Gallery in Stockport
Troubadour Art Gallery in Chorlton Manchester
Clarity in Knutsford
