A little bit about me

Art being one of the 2 subjects I had any aptitude for at school, I studied it to A Level. Maths being the other, I took a HND in Electronics and Communications Engineering from where I moved into the world of database and program design with little free time to paint in between work, children, house moves and all that comes with normal family life.

Now, a few(!) years later, with my children becoming more independent I have more time to spend on my painting and it's a real joy to me. I enjoy every aspect in the creative process of painting a picture, using materials I'm familiar with or trying new ways of expressing myself. I'm very keen to continue with commissioned portraits as well as to sell more 'general' paintings – any excuse to keep painting!

I would like to say thanks to my husband and children who are a continual support and encouragement to me and have provided me with endless inspiration in the form of portrait subjects plus garden delights to paint. My ultimate thanks, though, goes to Him in whose creative image I was made
