Jacqui Sieger
Artist's Biography

I was born during the war in Swanage, Dorset, UK where my father Joshua Sieger CBE was a pioneer scientist on the new invention of Radar. His work took us to New York State after the war to continue his research into the new field of colour television. It was not until the family returned to Dorset that found my love for Art. Fascinated by colour, design and fashion I trained at Bournemouth College Graduating to become a trainee Buyer for Derry and Toms in London. With my London experiences and eager to start my own business in the fashion world, a move to the cloth mills in North Yorkshire and tanneries gave me the opportunately to start manufacturing leather coats and hats etc. I expanded to equestrian clothing with the help of The Council of Small Industries. Soon many leading show jumping and horse racing celebrites in the UK and abroad were buying my products. This business continued successfully until I retired back to Dorset.
With early retirement I returned to my old love of oil painting and over the years produced forty paintings, some of which have been sold privately into collections and others have been published to produce giclee prints.
