Leatherhead parish church, St Mary and St Nicholas, is a popular wedding venue in Surrey. The church dates back to 1086 when it was the private chapel to nearby Thorncroft Manor. The church has had a number of Royal connections in its 920 year history, including the appointment of a vicar as Chaplain to James II in the late 17th Century. The church spire was destroyed in 1703 by a winter storm that also swept away the Eddystone Lighthouse. The present grounds and gardens help to make this historic church a perfect location to tie the knot!
