The River Eye runs through two of the prettiest villages in the heart of the Cotswolds, and this ford provides an attractive crossing at Upper Slaughter. If you visit the area, cross the little bridge and walk down the lane and footpath to Lower Slaughter, where the river winds its way past picturesque stone cottages with their flower-filled gardens.
