Artist's Biography

I have always painted from an early age - encouraged by artistic family members, I can't really remember a time when I didn't paint!! Started by painting as a favour for friends and relatives before become more serious about it and venturing onto the internet and now have paintings hanging on the walls of rooms all over the UK and worldwide.
Self taught, I work predominately in pencil, watercolours and pastel as each have their unique qualities and lend themselves to different subjects. My favourite subjects are animals, portraits and landscapes of places I have visited on my travels but I am willing to have a go at anything asked of me!.
Although my main interest lies in commissioned pet portraits, I enjoy capturing each individual animal's character and likeness, which combines my respect for animals with my love for art.
