Artist's Biography

As a child I could always be found drawing or painting, this interest has continued throughout my life until I realised that, as my two children were growing up, I would love to try and fulfil my dream of becoming a professional artist. So in 1993, encouraged by my husband Steve, I gave up my job in the family business and, as I have always loved animals, began to paint pet portraits from a small studio/gallery in a very popular visitor centre in my home town in Lancashire. I paint a wide range of subjects from the usual family pets and horses, to motorbikes and cars, children and houses. Over the years, I have painted murals, designed sports trophies, painted childrens faces, special paint effects, sign writing, in fact anything 'arty' and I have done it!
I now work from a studio at the Wolfhouse Gallery in Silverdale, Lancashire. This beautiful part of the country inspires me greatly and is beginning to take my work in a new direction. Keep checking my web pages to see examples!
I have had several exhibitions since 1994, mainly in Lancashire, the most recent being in April this year. My paintings are in private collections all over Great Britain, Europe and America.
