Artist's Description

Painted on standard depth stretched canvas.
In still life painting I'm finding myself dropping colour into dark areas such as background and shade and also the darker areas of objects.
I think the impressionists were interested in the idea that there are numerous colours in shadow so maybe my inspiration comes from that movement.
