Artist's Description

Children playing on a sandy beach on a warm summers day. This painting is thought provoking to past times the innocence of childhood fun, splashing unconcerned in the sea, scrabbling amongst the rock pools searching for tiny crabs or small fish left behind by the outgoing tide.
Children busy digging with their buckets and spades building sandcastles.
A young boy finds some seaweed and as he carries it along the beach he attracts the attention of the family pet dog that wants to join in the fun.
The reflections in the wet sand add interest to the painting whilst a forlorn sandcastle lies in ruins where it has been trampled on in the rush to the sea.
The rolling clouds across the sea whilst in the distant horizon the blues merge into one with the sky.
