Sammy is my own Golden Retriever. I've had her since she was 3 months old and have kept two of her pups, born in 2003. My father took the photo, so I painted it for myself. I think the Golden Retrievers have so much expression in their faces. I was encouraged to paint commissions of friend's pets as a result. I will happily paint portraits of people's pets from photographs.
