Artist's Description

I had previously made watercolour paintings of the individual 'postcard' scenes and had an idea to do a 'trompe l'oeil' effect in oil, linking them together with a ribbon pinned to a stone wall. It's fooled a few people at exhibitions where I've seen them feeling the corners of the cards!
