About My Art
My work has evolved over the years, departing from the documentary style into pieces of work which I feel are more representational of my inner emotions and feelings for a subject.
The advent of digital photography has given my work a whole new lease of life. I adore taking a picture then being able to manipulate it into something different via the computer. The creative process is extended and knows no limits!
Colour, light and textures play a big part in my work, my most recent pictures seem to be moving towards the abstract concept.
I feel abstract work frees the viewer from the subject matter and allows their own creative thoughts to come forth. I don't want to put my abstract work in a box that can be labelled. If this was necessary I would describe it as ' free form expression with a hint of realism!'
To me creating pictures is a very organic process, constantly changing.
