Artist's Biography
I was born in 1960 and have always been a lover of art, especially work that connects with my feelings, preferably positive ones! I like to be moved by a piece of work and by creating from my heart am connected to my own work.
After studying Art A'level I lost confidence in my intuition around my creativity and stopped. Many years later with the help of a professional artist, I have re-ignited my creative intuition and am now developing my passion for tones, textures and emotive composition which I believe is demonstrated in my current artwork and photography.
I like to produce larger pieces as I feel as though I can really wallow in them during my creative process. producing a piece is a multi-dimensional experience: physical, emotional and spiritual.
The most important thing to me about creating a piece of art is knowing whether or not someone connects with it. how they feel about it, how they react, not whether they will purchase it. People buying my work is obviously benefits me, but it is far more important to me that the piece has an effect on them. that's why I love to receive feedback so please feel free to provide me with some.
