A little bit about me
I am a self taught artist having always loved painting since childhood. When I was growing up I had a very good art teacher who was very supportive. She encouraged me to enter an independent schools art competition which I came second in which helped spur me on. I took up painting again after having my children. Luckily I quickly started selling and began exhibiting my work. Unfortunately I had to take an enforced break for several years due to family illness. During this time I kept my hand in with creating designs, which were very well received selling in such places as major department stores, museums, stately homes and extensively abroad. Although it was good to be doing something creative I missed painting very much. Now with no responsibilities and my children grown up, I am delighted to have far more time to paint!
I have been represented by several galleries and exhibited widely both in the UK and abroad. As well as winning two prizes for my work, my designs have sold internationally as greetings cards, wrapping paper, stationary and mugs. Also my work has been published as prints and sold in numerous galleries.
