About Poppies
Dazzlingly brilliant colours in the bright early morning sunshine are just irresistible to me. My paint gear is always ready when I take the dog for her first run of the day. I normally start the painting en plein air, completing it later in the studio. This year is a particularly good year for poppies, many are growing in the shadier corners and long grasses which give them the fantastic colours you can see in this picture.
