Venice is one of the most painted and photographed places in the world. Here I have painted a secluded backwater using a different slightly abstract approach. Highlighting the interesting dark doors and windows, creating layers and layers of texture on the walls. I have captured the bright sunlight on the washing emphasising it with dark shadows.
