Viv Owen
 Drawing is my first love, and I scribble away whenever the opportunity presents itself. Observing the other customers in a cafe, catching my daughter's pose as she takes a nap, or, when I am lucky enough, escaping into the great outdoors.
I aim to keep the spontaneous feeling in my paintings: as if it were possible to freeze a glance, or crystallise the patterns made by the television screen. This can be reminiscent of a film sequence, a cartoon strip, or a video wall. I create interactions between my paintings, suggesting a narrative sequence or different viewpoints of the same moment.
