| David Hockney (1937-) is a British painter, draughtsman, printmaker, and photographer who was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. David Hockney studied at the Royal College of Art between 1959-62 and travelled widely in the United States of America where he developed his style. Hockney’s favourite subjects being figure studies and aquatic themes such as ‘A Bigger Splash’ which was also the title of a quasi-documentary film about him in 1974. |
